OUR HISTORY – A FAMILY LEGACY
Hector and Celerino [“Cele”] Villa were raised in Anaheim, California. Growing up they worked with their father, who was a concrete and masonry contractor. They learned the values of hard work, honesty, and craftsmanship at an early age. Brothers Hector and Celerino decided to attend California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and pursue careers in the landscape construction industry. In 2019 Hector established Emerge Landscape, Inc. and was joined in partnership with Celerino three years later, in 2022.
Hector Villa
Co-Owner
Following graduation from Cal Poly, Pomona in 2011, Hector worked for the acclaimed supplier of California native plants, Tree of Life Nursery in south Orange County. It was there that Hector developed a knowledge and appreciation of natives and drought-tolerant landscaping. He then accepted a position at Rogers Gardens in Newport Beach as Designer and Project Manager for their custom residential landscape division, for the next seven years. Many beautiful residential projects were designed and installed under Hector’s supervision, with garden styles that included English Cottage, Mediterranean, Traditional, and Modern / Contemporary, among others.
Hector Villa is responsible for business development and shares the role of project management and quality control with his brother Celerino.
Celerino Villa
Co-Owner
After receiving his degree from Cal Poly, Celerino accepted a position as Estimator for Marina Landscape Companies in Orange County. Two years later he decided to expand this career opportunities and began working for BGB Design Group in Irvine, a full-service award-winning landscape architectural firm. For nine years Cele was a valuable member of the BGB team, and worked on all types of projects, including public parks, commercial projects, planned communities, and residential estates. Cele assisted in the design, created color renderings, and was responsible for preparing the construction documents for many BGB Design Group projects.
Cele Villa provides cost estimating, project management, field supervision, and quality control for their company.
